"Poverty runs in my family—we've always been broke and I'll always be broke too."
How it sounds in your head: We've never had money. My grandparents were poor, my parents are poor, and every time I dream about something better, I feel guilty like I'm betraying my family. Poor is just who we are.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
-- Galatians 3:13-14Source: Enemy using economic history and family loyalty to bind her to poverty mentality as though scarcity is her heritage rather than the barak blessing.
She's never seen wealth in her family tree and every adult around her accepts poverty as normal, creating a culture where dreaming bigger feels like pride. The enemy uses false humility and family loyalty to keep her enslaved to lack.
Blew his ENTIRE inheritance on prostitutes and partying, ended up bankrupt feeding pigs, came home expecting servant status. Father INSTANTLY restored him—best robe, family ring, sandals, fattened calf, full party—from pig pen to prosperity in minutes, no waiting period, no probation.
I REFUSE the lie that poverty is my inheritance. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ REDEEMED me from the curse of poverty and the BLESSING OF ABRAHAM is mine NOW. I am Abraham's seed, Galatians 3:29 confirms it, and the barak blessing that made Abraham wealthy even when he LIED is NOW protecting me because of COVENANT, not my family's economic history. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28:11-12 that the Lord opens His good treasure to me, I lend and do not borrow, I am the head and not the tail. My Father is running toward me with the family ring—the sign of AUTHORITY over resources—not waiting for me to earn it or prove I'm financially responsible. I am blessed coming in and blessed going out, and my storehouses are COMMANDED to be blessed right now.
While your family tree shows poverty, your Father sees you as Abraham's heir, and He's already opening Heaven's storehouses over you. He's not waiting for you to break the pattern through hard work—He BROKE it at the cross, and now He's running toward you with the robe and ring while you still smell like the pig pen of lack.
