Paul said to set your mind on things above, not on things of earth. Your body is temporary; your spirit is eternal. Prioritizing physical healing feels like missing the point, like the crowds who followed Jesus for bread instead of truth.
Four friends tore open a roof to lower their paralyzed friend to Jesus. Jesus first addressed his spiritual need—'Son, your sins are forgiven'—then His physical need—'Rise, take up your bed, walk.' IMMEDIATELY he arose, took up the bed, walked out. Jesus addressed BOTH. He didn't pick one over the other.
I REFUSE the lie that spiritual growth matters more than physical healing. IT IS WRITTEN: May God sanctify you COMPLETELY—spirit, soul, AND body preserved blameless. God doesn't despise my body; He calls it the temple of the Holy Spirit. IT IS WRITTEN: He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses—He cared enough about bodies to purchase physical healing at the cross. I am under the BARAK blessing that covers spirit, soul, body—health, prosperity, protection. I receive complete sanctification, complete healing, complete restoration NOW.
The Father doesn't pit your spirit against your body—He created both, loves both, redeems both. He's not more concerned with your soul than your sickness; He's concerned with ALL of you. The Jesus who forgave sins AND healed bodies still does both, because you're not a ghost with a shell—you're a whole person He adores.
