"People only see my skin color, not me as a person"
How it sounds in your head: Seventy-five years and you're still being followed in stores, still getting 'the look,' still being asked to speak for your entire race. You're tired of being reduced to a demographic, a checkbox, a conversation about diversity instead of being seen as YOU.
"For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
-- 1 Samuel 16:7Enemy using others' blindness to steal your awareness of how GOD sees you with perfect clarity
A lifetime of being stereotyped, having your intelligence questioned, watching people surprised by your accomplishments. The microaggressions never stopped, they just evolved, and you're exhausted from being hyper-visible yet invisible at the same time.
The Ethiopian eunuch was doubly marginalized—by race and by physical condition that excluded him from full Jewish worship. Yet God sent Philip on a divine appointment specifically for HIM, and he received the Gospel and baptism without question or delay—instant inclusion, no probationary period.
I REFUSE the lie that I am defined by my skin color or reduced to a racial category. IT IS WRITTEN that the LORD looks at the heart while man looks at the outward appearance—God's vision has never been limited by what others cannot see. I am fearfully and wonderfully made, chosen before the foundation of the world, accepted in the Beloved. The BARAK blessing rests on me by covenant, not by complexion. IT IS WRITTEN that I am His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus—my identity is sealed in Him, and His opinion is the only one that defines me. I walk in the FULL blessing today, seen completely by the One who matters most.
The Father has never had to squint past your skin color to see you—He knit you together exactly as you are and calls it VERY GOOD. He's not colorblind; He's color-celebrating, and He's been running toward you with delight since before you were born.
