"People get tired of me eventually. Every friendship has an expiration date for me."
How it sounds in your head: It starts good, but you're always waiting for the moment they realize you're too much work. You've watched friendships fade and convince yourself it's inevitable—you're the common denominator, so you must be the problem.
"For He Himself has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.'"
-- Hebrews 13:5Abandonment wound—past losses have programmed you to expect rejection as a certainty, so you self-sabotage or withdraw preemptively.
Friendships HAVE faded in your life, and your developing brain is wired to find patterns for self-protection. If it happened before, your nervous system expects it to happen again.
He was the disciple who leaned on Jesus at the Last Supper, and when everyone else fled at the crucifixion, he was the one who STAYED. Jesus trusted him with His own mother—instant, permanent family assignment at the darkest moment. Faithful friendship doesn't expire.
I REFUSE the lie that every friendship has an expiration date for me. IT IS WRITTEN that God will NEVER leave me nor forsake me—His love has no expiration, and I am modeling friendships after His faithfulness. The Father is bringing me people who STAY, who don't grow tired of me, who are covenant-minded. IT IS WRITTEN that nothing can separate me from the love of God, and I carry that same unshakeable value into every relationship. I am covered by the BARAK blessing—favor creates LASTING connection, and loyal friendships are my inheritance. I am not TOO MUCH; I am LOVED permanently.
The Father isn't counting down the days until He's done with you—He's planning ETERNITY with you. He's aligning you with people who reflect that same 'I'm not going anywhere' loyalty, and the friendships forming now are built to LAST.
