"Other dads are better at this; my kids got stuck with the wrong father."
How it sounds in your head: You see dads coaching teams, building treehouses, always patient and present. Meanwhile you're exhausted, distracted, and barely keeping up. Your kids deserved someone better equipped for this.
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations."
-- Jeremiah 1:5Comparison trap fueled by social media highlight reels and enemy accusation targeting identity.
You see other men excelling where you struggle, and every parenting book makes you feel more inadequate. Your kids seem to light up around other men in ways they don't with you.
Moses argued with God that he was the wrong choice—'I'm not eloquent, send someone else!' God's response wasn't 'you're right, let me pick someone better.' It was 'Who made your mouth? NOW GO.' God doesn't make casting mistakes.
I REFUSE the lie that my children would be better off with a different father. IT IS WRITTEN that before I was formed in the womb, God knew me and set me apart for specific purposes—and being THEIR dad is one of them. I am not a mistake or second choice. God doesn't do random assignments; He does DIVINE APPOINTMENTS. As I abide in the VINE, I produce the exact fruit my kids need without striving to be someone else. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28:13 'The LORD will make you the head and not the tail'—I am the head of this household by COVENANT, not by competence. The BARAK blessing that covered Isaac even when he lied covers me even when I feel inadequate. I am the father my kids need because I'm the father God chose.
The Father is whispering over you what He spoke over Jesus: 'This is My beloved son in whom I am well pleased.' Not because of your performance, but because of your POSITION. Your kids don't need a better dad; they need to see you receiving the Father's love so they learn how to receive it too.
