"Nobody will give me a chance because I don't look the part or fit the image."
How it sounds in your head: You're too skinny. Too chubby. Too short. Acne starting. Voice cracks. You don't look like the kids who get chosen. People judge you the second they see you. You'll never get past the first impression.
"But the LORD said to Samuel, 'Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.'"

His body is changing in ways he can't control—growth spurts, acne, voice changes. He sees other kids who look 'put together' getting attention while he feels awkward in his own skin.
Zacchaeus was so SHORT people blocked him from seeing Jesus. He climbed a tree out of desperation. Jesus INSTANTLY chose him out of the entire crowd, invited Himself to his house, and brought salvation that same day—height didn't matter.
I REFUSE the lie that my appearance disqualifies me from opportunity and favor. IT IS WRITTEN that man looks at outward appearance but the LORD looks at the heart—and He CHOSE me before I was born. God picked the smallest shepherd boy, the shortest tax collector, the imprisoned slave. IT IS WRITTEN that the BLESSING OF ABRAHAM is mine through Christ—favor that makes me the head and not the tail regardless of how I look. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Doors open by HIS favor, not my image. People will say YES to me because God goes before me. I am BLESSED.
Your Father sees you the way He created you to be, not the awkward in-between you see in the mirror. He's preparing people to look past appearance and see the treasure He placed inside you—favor overrides every insecurity.
