"I'll have to settle for a job I hate just to survive."
How it sounds in your head: Beggars can't be choosers. I need to take whatever comes, even if it crushes my soul, because bills don't wait. Dreams are a luxury I can't afford right now.
"Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart."
-- Psalm 37:4Enemy: Presenting false choice between provision and purpose, making you believe survival requires sacrificing calling.
The bank account is dropping and the first offer that comes might be terrible but it's an OFFER. Turning down money when kids need to eat feels irresponsible, even if the job would destroy her.
Slaves who owned NOTHING asked Egyptians for gold and silver, and God gave them such favor that Egypt HANDED OVER their wealth. They left with ABUNDANCE, not just enough—400 years of slavery to wealthy in ONE NIGHT.
I REFUSE the lie that I must settle for soul-crushing work. IT IS WRITTEN that God gives me the DESIRES of my heart when I delight in Him, and He's not asking me to choose between bills and calling. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing means I am blessed in ALL I do, not just what I survive. IT IS WRITTEN that I have ABUNDANT life, and abundance includes work I actually love. The Father is RUNNING toward me with the job that pays my bills AND fulfills my heart, not forcing me to pick one.
The Father isn't making you grovel for scraps—He's preparing the GOLD AND SILVER exit like Israel got from Egypt. He's about to show you that provision and purpose come TOGETHER in His hands, not as opposing choices.
