"My sickness is God's plan to teach me something I couldn't learn healthy."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe God allowed this because I needed to learn patience or compassion. Maybe He's building my character through suffering. Maybe I can't be healed yet because I haven't learned the lesson.
"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him."
-- Acts 10:38Religious lie making God the author of sickness and holding healing hostage until arbitrary spiritual milestones are achieved.
Well-meaning adults say 'God has a purpose in this' and 'you'll be stronger.' She's heard testimonies where people found God through sickness. If she gets healed 'too soon,' maybe she'll miss the lesson.
Disciples asked whose sin caused his blindness—was it punishment or lesson? Jesus said NEITHER—it happened 'that the works of God should be revealed in him.' Jesus IMMEDIATELY healed him with mud and spit—no waiting for lessons, instant breakthrough revealing God's glory.
I REFUSE the lie that God authored my sickness to teach me. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus healed ALL who were oppressed by the DEVIL—sickness is enemy oppression, not divine curriculum. Jesus is the exact representation of the Father, and He healed everyone IMMEDIATELY without educational prerequisites. The Abraham blessing doesn't include sickness for character building—it protected even when they SINNED. IT IS WRITTEN that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of lights. Sickness isn't good, isn't perfect, and doesn't come from Him. I learn from His WORD, not from diseases He already destroyed at the cross.
Father isn't withholding healing until you pass a test—He's running toward you with the ROBE of health while you're still covered in symptoms, not because you learned enough but because YOU'RE HIS. The fattened calf isn't earned through suffering; it's served because you're HOME.
