"My sexual sins created permanent stains—God can't fully trust or use me."
How it sounds in your head: The pornography, the affairs, the lustful decades—those images are burned into your brain and God's record. You can be forgiven but never fully trusted with authority. You're damaged goods in ministry. The elders would never lay hands on you if they knew.
"And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."
-- 1 Corinthians 6:11Source: Religious shame that treats sexual sin as 'worse' and creates permanent second-class status, contradicting the complete cleansing of Christ's blood.
The shame is visceral and the memories intrusive. He knows other men who 'kept themselves pure' and it feels like they have access he'll never have. The guilt returns every time temptation surfaces.
Rahab was a PROSTITUTE by profession—years of sexual sin for money. The moment she aligned with God's people, she was brought into the camp, married to a prince of Judah, and placed in the MESSIANIC LINE. No probation period. Instant full acceptance into Jesus' genealogy.
I REFUSE the lie that sexual sin creates permanent stains. IT IS WRITTEN that I have been WASHED, SANCTIFIED, and JUSTIFIED—past tense, completed work. The blood of Jesus doesn't partially cleanse—it OBLITERATES. IT IS WRITTEN that God remembers my sins NO MORE. Like Rahab went from prostitute to Jesus' ancestry with no probation, I am FULLY trusted, FULLY clean, FULLY qualified. There is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ. I walk in COMPLETE righteousness—HIS, not mine.
The Father isn't maintaining a file on your sexual history—He's seeing you in the COMPLETE righteousness of Christ. Like Rahab, you're not on probation—you're in the FAMILY LINE, fully trusted, fully used.
