"My sexual sin put me beyond the reach of God's forgiveness."
How it sounds in your head: This wasn't just a mistake—it was a pattern, an addiction, something I did knowing full well it was wrong. I violated my own body, someone else's purity, or both. The shame is physical. I can't look at myself the same way and I can't imagine God looking at me without disgust.
"And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."
-- 1 Corinthians 6:11Source: religious purity culture that treats sexual sin as categorically worse than other sins, contradicting Scripture's clear teaching that ALL sin is covered by the blood.
Sexual sin feels uniquely shameful because it involves the body in ways that create soul ties, memories, and physical consequences. The guilt is visceral and the replays in your mind feel like permanent stains.
Rahab was a PROSTITUTE—her profession was selling her body repeatedly. She helped the spies once, and God not only saved her but put her in the MESSIANIC LINE. She's listed in Matthew 1 as great-great-grandmother to King David and direct ancestor to Jesus Christ. From brothel to bloodline.
I REFUSE the lie that sexual sin is beyond forgiveness. IT IS WRITTEN that such WERE some of you—washed, sanctified, justified in the name of Jesus. Not 'will be someday,' but WERE and ARE. Rahab was a prostitute and entered the messianic line. David committed adultery and murder and remained king. IT IS WRITTEN that if we confess our sins, He is faithful to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness. I stand in the BARAK blessing that covered Judah when he slept with his daughter-in-law. The blood of Jesus doesn't categorize sins—it COVERS them all. I am washed, clean, and the Father sees me in Christ—spotless.
While you're replaying the shame, the Father is preparing the white robe. He doesn't see what you did—He sees what Jesus did, and that's the only lens through which He views you. You're not stained. You're WASHED.
