"My sadness about divorce is too much, I need to get over it."
How it sounds in your head: It's been months (or years), why am I still upset? Other kids seem fine. Adults say 'you're strong' so I smile, but inside I'm screaming. Maybe I'm being dramatic or attention-seeking.
"You number my wanderings; put my tears in Your bottle; are they not in Your book?"

Adults seem uncomfortable with her sadness, friends don't understand, life moves on around her. The message is clear: move on, don't be dramatic, other people have it worse.
Wept bitterly year after year, so broken she couldn't even speak clearly in her prayer. The priest thought she was drunk from her anguish, but God heard and answered - gave her the son who became the prophet Samuel.
I REFUSE the lie that my sadness is too much for God. IT IS WRITTEN that He puts my tears in His bottle - they're PRECIOUS to Him, not annoying. I don't have to perform strength I don't feel. IT IS WRITTEN that those who mourn WILL be comforted. Not might. WILL. The Father doesn't tell me to get over it - He sits with me, collects my tears, and promises comfort is coming. I am allowed to FEEL. The BARAK blessing covers my emotions too. I declare: my grief is VALID and my comfort is GUARANTEED.
The Father isn't tapping His foot waiting for you to stop crying. He's sitting beside you with a bottle, carefully collecting every tear like diamonds, whispering 'Let it out, beloved - I've got all the time in the world and comfort with your name on it.'
