"My retirement depends on me making perfect financial decisions now"
How it sounds in your head: I hear adults talk about investments and financial mistakes that cost them years. It feels like one wrong choice could ruin my entire future. I'm terrified of making the wrong decision because I'll pay for it when I'm old and it'll be too late to fix.
"A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps."
-- Proverbs 16:9Performance-based provision that denies grace for mistakes and supernatural restoration
She's absorbed messages about compound interest and long-term consequences of financial decisions. The weight of making 'perfect' choices feels crushing when she's only 11.
Abraham made a terrible decision - lying about Sarah being his sister, putting her in Pharaoh's harem out of fear. God plagued Pharaoh, rescued Sarah, and sent Abraham away RICHER than he arrived. His bad decision resulted in increase.
I REFUSE the lie that my future depends on perfect decisions. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord directs my steps even when my knowledge is imperfect. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing protected him even when he made terrible choices twice. IT IS WRITTEN that God restores what's lost and redeems mistakes. The prodigal lost everything and was restored instantly. I don't need financial perfection - I need connection to the vine. My Father runs toward me with provision despite my imperfect knowledge. Grace covers my learning curve.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to make perfect financial decisions. He's running toward you ready to guide, redirect, and even turn your mistakes into increase, just like He did for Abraham who made terrible choices and still left Egypt richer.
