"My prayers lack faith—if I believed harder, I'd see results by now."
How it sounds in your head: You read about 'faith like a mustard seed' and think yours must be smaller than that. Others believe so confidently and get miracles. You pray and immediately wonder if it'll work. Maybe your doubt canceled it out.
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!'"
-- Mark 9:24Religion: faith as a WORK, a muscle you flex, a formula you perfect—making YOU the source instead of HIM.
Every healing testimony includes 'I just KNEW God would do it,' and you're thinking 'I HOPE He will.' The gap between their certainty and your questions feels like proof of weak faith.
His son had been tormented since childhood; disciples couldn't cast it out; father's faith was MIXED with doubt—'IF You can do anything, have compassion.' He literally said 'help my UNBELIEF!' Jesus didn't lecture him; He IMMEDIATELY cast out the demon and the boy was FREE.
I REFUSE the lie that my prayers need perfect faith to be answered. IT IS WRITTEN: A father said 'help my UNBELIEF' and his son was INSTANTLY freed—Jesus honored honesty over performance. I am NOT the source of the miracle; HE is. My job is to COME, not to conjure confidence. IT IS WRITTEN: 'To him who does NOT work but believes, his faith is accounted for righteousness'—I don't work up faith; I rest in HIS faithfulness. I am Abraham's seed under the BARAK blessing that worked when Abraham DOUBTED God's promise and took Hagar. I declare my imperfect faith is ENOUGH because His perfect love is the power source.
The Father isn't grading your faith like a theology exam—He's the father who RAN to the prodigal who had ZERO faith the father would even take him back, yet got the robe, ring, and party. Jesus healed people who didn't even know His name; your wobbling belief doesn't wobble His commitment.
