"I need to have perfect faith without any doubt for God to answer."
How it sounds in your head: The verse says 'if you have faith and do not doubt' so every time I feel a flicker of uncertainty, I've probably canceled my prayer. I need to muster up enough belief and hold it steady without wavering, but I keep having doubts creep in and that's probably why nothing's happening.
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!'"
-- Mark 9:24Religion turned faith into a work you perform perfectly rather than a gift you receive.
She's heard sermons about speaking to mountains and not doubting, and she feels her own internal questions disqualify her. Every doubt feels like failure.
Refused to believe Jesus was alive unless he could touch the wounds—the original doubter. Jesus appeared specifically FOR Thomas, invited him to touch, and still called him blessed—doubt didn't disqualify him from encountering Jesus.
I REFUSE the lie that my doubt cancels God's power. IT IS WRITTEN that a man with MIXED faith—belief AND unbelief—saw his son healed IMMEDIATELY. My faith is not the SOURCE of the miracle; Jesus is. My job is not to manufacture perfect confidence but to ABIDE in the Vine who produces the fruit. IT IS WRITTEN that faith is a GIFT from God, not a work I perform, which means even my faith comes from HIM. I don't need more faith—I need more revelation of His FAITHFULNESS. I receive breakthrough NOW with the faith I have.
Your Father doesn't grade your faith like a test where you need 100% to pass—He sees the TINIEST seed of belief and says 'that's enough for Me to move mountains for you.' He's not waiting for you to eliminate every question; He's answering while you're still figuring it out, because His power isn't dependent on your perfection.
