"My prayers for healing bounce back—I must have unconfessed sin blocking them."
How it sounds in your head: You've examined your heart a thousand times, confessed everything you can remember, but the pain remains. Must be something you're missing. Maybe that resentment from 1987. Maybe you didn't forgive thoroughly enough.
"Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."
-- Hebrews 10:17Religion: Old Covenant teaching that sin creates a barrier between you and God, forgetting the veil was TORN.
Every church cliché says 'unconfessed sin hinders prayer,' and when you're not healed, the logical conclusion is you missed something. Your generation was taught to dig for hidden sin like spiritual archaeology.
She'd been bleeding for 12 years, spent all her money, suffered under many physicians, and was ceremonially UNCLEAN—touching Jesus should have defiled Him. Instead, ONE TOUCH brought IMMEDIATE healing: 'She felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.'
I REFUSE the lie that my healing is on hold pending a sin audit. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Their sins I will remember no more'—if the Father doesn't remember them, I will NOT dig them up. The blood of Jesus cleanses me from ALL sin, not just the ones I can catalog. I am the righteousness of God IN CHRIST, and that righteousness is a GIFT, not an achievement. IT IS WRITTEN: By His stripes I WAS healed—past tense, already done, not pending my performance. I declare healing flowing through my body RIGHT NOW because I am connected to the Vine and the Vine is HEALTH.
The Father isn't withholding healing until you find the missing sin—He's like the father who RAN to the prodigal who REEKED of sin and pig manure and embraced him ANYWAY. Jesus touched lepers, healed on the Sabbath, and restored people who didn't even know His name—your healing isn't about your spiritual resume.
