"My parents had me for the wrong reasons—money, image, or to fix themselves."
How it sounds in your head: They wanted a kid to look normal, get tax breaks, or have someone to control. I'm not a son, I'm a prop in their life photo. They use me for their purposes but don't actually want ME.
"Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will."
-- Ephesians 1:5Enemy turning parental brokenness into evidence that his existence is transactional instead of treasured.
Parents seem more concerned with appearances than his heart. Conversations center on behavior, grades, or what neighbors think. He feels managed, not known.
Esther was an orphan adopted by her cousin Mordecai, not out of love but out of duty. She was then taken by force into a harem to audition as queen—used by a pagan king. Yet God positioned her there to save an entire nation—what looked like exploitation became destiny.
I REFUSE the lie that my existence is transactional. IT IS WRITTEN that God predestined me to adoption as His son according to the GOOD PLEASURE of His will. Heaven wanted me not for what I can do but for who I am. I am not a tool, a tax break, or an image prop—I am a DELIGHT to the Father. IT IS WRITTEN that I am His masterpiece created in Christ Jesus. The BARAK blessing flows through me—I am blessed in my identity as a son, not in my utility as a tool. I am wanted, I am celebrated, I am His PLEASURE.
The Father is running toward you with a party invitation, not a job application. You don't have to perform, produce, or pose—you just have to receive the love that's been chasing you since before time began.
