THE LIE Medication vs Faith

"My need for medication proves I'm not really healed spiritually."

How it sounds in your head: Church says Jesus heals completely - spirit, soul, and body. You're taking antidepressants or ADHD meds, so maybe you're not really saved or filled with the Spirit. Maybe true healing would fix your brain chemistry too. Maybe you're half-healed because of hidden sin.

IT IS WRITTEN 2 Corinthians 5:17

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

Enemy whispers: Medication proves incomplete salvation. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: 2 Corinthians 5:17 - You ARE a new creation IN Christ. This is SPIRITUAL POSITION, not physical condition. Paul was a new creation who still had poor eyesight (Galatians 4:15). Timothy was a new creation who still had stomach problems (1 Timothy 5:23). Your spiritual status is COMPLETE in Christ regardless of your body's current state. Old things passed away means SIN and CONDEMNATION - not necessarily prescriptions.

Quick Truth: LIE: Meds prove incomplete healing. TRUTH: You're a new creation in Christ regardless of physical condition. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

WHERE THIS LIE COMES FROM

Religion teaching that spiritual salvation automatically fixes all physical problems, making ongoing medical needs evidence of incomplete redemption.

Why this feels true:

The Bible talks about being a 'new creation' and healing scriptures sound absolute. When your body or brain still needs help, it feels like the new creation didn't fully happen for you.

Trophimus

Paul left Trophimus sick at Miletus - a faithful companion and new creation in Christ who remained physically ill. Paul didn't question his salvation because of sickness; he matter-of-factly stated the situation without spiritual judgment, instant acceptance of physical reality.

I REFUSE the lie that medication proves incomplete salvation. IT IS WRITTEN that I am a new creation IN Christ - my spiritual position is COMPLETE. Paul left Trophimus sick without questioning his faith; Timothy took medicine without losing his righteousness. I am blessed with the BARAK blessing of Abraham through Christ's blood, not through perfect body chemistry. IT IS WRITTEN there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. I am fully saved, fully righteous, fully loved - prescription bottle and all.
