"My mom considered abortion—I almost didn't exist and that proves I wasn't wanted."
How it sounds in your head: She told someone she thought about it, or I found a journal, or family whispered about it. The fact that she hesitated means part of her wished I was gone. I'm only here because she couldn't go through with it, not because she wanted me.
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations."
-- Jeremiah 1:5Enemy using a moment of fear or confusion to redefine his entire identity as 'almost terminated' instead of chosen life.
He overheard a conversation or found evidence his mom was scared or unsure when pregnant. The knowledge that abortion was considered makes him feel like his existence hangs by a thread of reluctance.
Pharaoh ordered all Hebrew boys killed and Moses' mom hid him then put him in a basket on a river—basically a death sentence. God turned the murder decree into a palace adoption and Moses became the deliverer of nations.
I REFUSE the lie that my mom's fear defines my worth. IT IS WRITTEN that before I was formed in the womb, God knew me and sanctified me. A moment of human fear cannot undo an eternal divine decision. I am here because Heaven demanded it. IT IS WRITTEN that I am God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works prepared beforehand. The BARAK blessing covers me—I am blessed in my mother's womb and blessed in my birth. I am not an 'almost wasn't'—I am an 'always was' in the mind of God.
The Father sees your mom's fear and loves her through it, but His choice of you was made before time began. You are not here because of her strength—you're here because of His sovereign will that nothing can overturn.
