"My mistakes disqualified me—I'm worthless to God's purposes now."
How it sounds in your head: I know what I did. The affair. The bankruptcy. The lies. Other guys get used by God because they kept their lives clean. I blew it. I'm benched permanently.
"This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief."
-- 1 Timothy 1:15Religious performance mindset makes God's service dependent on track record instead of grace.
He remembers specific sins in vivid detail, hears sermons about 'qualified leaders,' sees men with cleaner pasts getting opportunities while he hides in the back row.
Rahab was a PROSTITUTE—career built on selling her body, living in active sin. One act of faith and she was INSTANTLY brought into Israel, placed in the Messianic line, and named in the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11.
I REFUSE the lie that my mistakes disqualified me. IT IS WRITTEN: Christ came to save SINNERS, of whom Paul called himself CHIEF. If Paul the murderer wrote Scripture and Rahab the prostitute birthed the Messianic line, my past doesn't disqualify me—it qualifies me to know grace. The BARAK blessing protected LIARS (Abraham, Isaac), DECEIVERS (Jacob), and MURDERERS (Jacob's sons)—it's based on COVENANT, not character. IT IS WRITTEN: There is NO condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. None means none. I am the righteousness of God IN CHRIST—not because I earned it, but because HE IS RIGHTEOUS. I am a branch in the Vine; fruit flows from HIS life, not my track record.
The Father doesn't see your resume of failures—He sees the blood of Jesus that qualifies you completely. He's not looking for clean candidates; He's looking for surrendered sons who know they need a Savior.
