"My mental illness is actually demon possession that doctors are treating incorrectly."
How it sounds in your head: These medications aren't working because the real problem is spiritual, not chemical. Doctors diagnosed dementia or depression, but what if it's actually demons masquerading as mental illness? Maybe I'm being treated for the wrong thing and need exorcism, not medicine.
"He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him."
-- Luke 10:34False dichotomy making you choose between spiritual reality and medical reality, when God can use both simultaneously.
Symptoms feel spiritual—dark thoughts, confusion, oppression—and medication hasn't eliminated them, making you suspect doctors are missing the demonic component. You've heard testimonies of people healed instantly when demons were cast out instead of treating symptoms medically.
Hezekiah was dying, and God promised healing through Isaiah the prophet. But the healing didn't come through prayer alone—Isaiah said, 'Bring a cake of figs and apply it to the boil,' using a medical poultice. God healed Hezekiah through both divine promise AND medical application.
I REFUSE the lie that my mental symptoms are purely demonic and medicine is wrong. IT IS WRITTEN: The Good Samaritan used oil, wine, and medical care, and Jesus commended it. God invented chemistry, neurology, and medication—He's not offended when I use them. IT IS WRITTEN: Paul honored Luke as 'the beloved physician,' showing God values medical profession. I can take my medication AND exercise spiritual authority—these are not opposites. Hezekiah received divine healing through a medical poultice. I receive both medical treatment and spiritual breakthrough. I command every demonic oppression to leave while I steward my brain health with medication. God works through doctors and miracles, and I refuse to reject either as His provision.
Your Father isn't making you choose between medicine and miracles—He invented both and loves using natural and supernatural simultaneously. The same Jesus who healed some with a word and others with mud and spit isn't offended by your prescriptions, and He's saying, 'Use every tool I've given you.'
