"My memory loss and confusion are normal aging; I should accept dementia as inevitable."
How it sounds in your head: I forget names, lose my train of thought, can't remember what I did yesterday. Everyone says this is just what happens—my brain is wearing out. I need to prepare for the inevitable slide into confusion and dependence.
"Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you."
-- Isaiah 46:4World system normalizing cognitive decline as unavoidable, denying the promise that God renews the mind.
Statistics say dementia is common at this age, and early signs feel terrifyingly familiar. Forgetting things used to be occasional; now it's frequent, and the trajectory seems obvious and unstoppable.
At 120 years old, Moses' eyes were undimmed and his natural vigor was undiminished—full mental clarity and physical strength until the day he died. God supernaturally preserved his mind and body far beyond natural expectation.
I REFUSE the lie that my mind must fail. IT IS WRITTEN that even to gray hairs, God will carry me—not abandon me to confusion. Moses had full mental clarity at 120. I am NOT under the curse of cognitive decline; I am under the BARAK blessing of Abraham. My mind is being RENEWED daily. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 46:4 that God will deliver me, and in 2 Timothy 1:7 that He has given me a sound mind. I receive supernatural clarity NOW.
The Father isn't waiting to see if you'll slip into dementia—He's actively renewing your mind this moment because you're hidden in Christ. Like He gave the prodigal back his ring before any proof of change, He's restoring your clarity before you earn it.
