"I missed my healing window when I was younger and healthier."
How it sounds in your head: If God was going to heal me, it would have happened decades ago when I had faith and energy. Now I'm just managing symptoms until I die. The window closed.
"Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, 'Do you want to be made well?' The man answered Him, 'Sir, I have no one to help me...' Jesus said to him, 'Rise, take up your bed and walk.' And immediately the man was made well."
-- John 5:5-9Religious teaching that healing has timing conditions, that God moves on younger people, creating a works-based healing theology.
He prayed for healing at forty, fifty, sixty—nothing changed. Watching younger people get healed while his conditions persist feels like divine rejection based on age.
After twelve years of bleeding, spending all her money on doctors who made her worse, she touched Jesus' garment and was IMMEDIATELY healed—whole body restored in an instant. Years of suffering ended in one moment.
I REFUSE the lie that I missed my healing window. IT IS WRITTEN that after thirty-eight years of infirmity, Jesus made a man well IMMEDIATELY. Time doesn't diminish God's willingness or power. I am covered by the BARAK blessing—the same covenant that protected Abraham through lies, Jacob through deception. My healing doesn't depend on my age or how long I've been sick. IT IS WRITTEN: By His stripes I WAS healed—past tense, finished work. I receive my suddenly NOW.
The Father didn't circle your seventieth birthday on His calendar as your healing deadline. He's the God of the SUDDENLY—the same God who healed a man after 38 years is reaching toward your decades of waiting with IMMEDIATE restoration.
