"My illness disqualifies me from the calling God had for my life. My dreams are over."
How it sounds in your head: I had plans, passions, a sense of purpose, but chronic illness has made all of it impossible. How can I pursue what God called me to when I can barely get through the day? My illness has stolen my future and closed doors God opened. Maybe I heard Him wrong, or maybe He's moved on to someone more capable.
"For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable."
-- Romans 11:29Enemy assignment to make you believe your diagnosis is louder than your divine assignment, stealing purpose by attaching it to physical capacity.
You've had to quit jobs, drop out of programs, cancel ministry opportunities, and watch others step into roles you dreamed of. Your body's limitations feel like proof that God's calling was conditional on your health.
God gave him dreams of leadership at 17, but he spent 13 YEARS in slavery and prison—his circumstances screamed 'dreams are dead.' In ONE DAY, he went from prisoner to prime minister of Egypt, and every dream was fulfilled. The calling was irrevocable despite years of impossible circumstances.
I REFUSE the lie that my illness cancelled God's calling. IT IS WRITTEN that the gifts and calling of God are IRREVOCABLE—no diagnosis has the authority to void what God ordained. Joseph's calling survived slavery and prison, and mine survives sickness. What God placed in me is not dependent on my physical capacity—it's dependent on HIS faithfulness. IT IS WRITTEN that I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me—not some things when I'm healthy, but ALL things through HIS strength. The BARAK blessing means I am blessed in my CALLING, not cursed with disqualification. My purpose is not on hold waiting for perfect health—God is doing a NEW thing NOW, and He makes roads in my wilderness. Like Joseph, I'm moving from pit to palace in ONE DAY, and every prophetic word over my life is coming to pass because God's promises are not tied to my body's performance.
The Father didn't tell the prodigal, 'You forfeited your inheritance when you wasted it.' He gave him the RING—the symbol of authority and calling—the moment he came home. Your calling isn't earned by capacity; it's irrevocable because of WHO called you.
