"My high energy and restlessness are signs of immaturity I need to outgrow"
How it sounds in your head: I can't sit still for long. I need movement, change, new challenges constantly. Everyone's telling me to settle down, be content, stop being so restless. Maybe my energy is just immaturity and God wants me to calm down and be stable.
"As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them."
-- Acts 13:2Religion + world that values stillness and routine over movement, equating energy with lack of contentment.
Every sermon about contentment feels like an indictment of his need for new challenges. Church models value 'faithful' people who stay put for decades, while his desire for change and movement makes him feel unstable and immature compared to 'settled' peers.
Paul lists his resume: constant travel, beatings, shipwrecks, sleepless nights, danger from rivers, robbers, countrymen, Gentiles, city, wilderness, sea. He never 'settled down'—God used his restless energy to plant churches across continents with INSTANT IMPACT everywhere he went.
I REFUSE the lie that my energy is immaturity. IT IS WRITTEN: The Holy Spirit SEPARATED apostles for movement, not maintenance (Acts 13:2). My restlessness is PIONEERING ANOINTING. I am wired for new territories, fresh challenges, constant expansion. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Arise, walk through the land... for I will give it to you' (Genesis 13:17). The BARAK blessing follows me into NEW PLACES. I am blessed in transition, blessed in movement, blessed in the unknown. I am the HEAD in innovation. My energy is APOSTOLIC FUEL.
The Father isn't waiting for you to settle into predictable routine—He's running toward you with a MAP of territories you haven't seen yet, celebrating the son whose energy will take His kingdom where the sedentary will never reach. He designed your restlessness for EXPANSION, and He's not asking you to calm down; He's asking you to MOVE OUT.
