"My health is failing and I'm no longer useful to God or anyone else."
How it sounds in your head: Your body is breaking down and you can't do what you used to. Ministry requires strength you don't have anymore. You're becoming a burden instead of a blessing. God's done with you now that you're physically limited.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9World equates usefulness with physical capacity. Enemy convinced you that God's use of you depends on your strength instead of His.
You can't preach like you used to and health issues dominate your days. The physical decline is undeniable and you feel sidelined, watching younger men do what you can't anymore. It feels like forced retirement by your body.
Paul had a physical thorn, prayed three times for removal, and God said 'My grace is sufficient and My strength is perfected in weakness.' Paul wrote most of the New Testament WITH the thorn, saying 'when I am weak, then I am strong.'
I REFUSE the lie that failing health makes me useless to God or anyone. IT IS WRITTEN His strength is made PERFECT in weakness and His grace is SUFFICIENT. My usefulness never depended on my physical capacity. IT IS WRITTEN by His stripes I WAS healed - healing is my covenant right and I receive supernatural strength NOW. Moses at 120 had undimmed eyes, Caleb at 85 was strong as at 40. The BARAK blessing of Abraham covers my health - I am blessed in my body, coming in and going out. I declare that whether God heals instantly or displays His strength in my weakness, I am USEFUL because I am His and He works through vessels, not physical strength.
The Father sees your physical struggle and isn't disappointed - He's ready to either heal instantly like Naaman's leprosy disappeared, or to display His strength THROUGH your weakness like Paul. Either way, you're not sidelined. Your voice carries MORE weight now because it's clearly Him, not you.
