"My girlfriend had a miscarriage because I wasn't spiritually ready to be a father."
How it sounds in your head: You're tormented thinking that if you'd been praying more, been more faithful, been a better Christian, the baby would have lived. You failed to protect your child because you weren't spiritually strong enough, and now guilt crushes you every day.
"Jesus answered, 'Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.'"
-- John 9:3Religious lie that tragedy is punishment for spiritual inadequacy or hidden sin.
Leaders have implied that bad things happen when you're 'out of God's will' and you're desperate to find a reason for the pain. Blaming yourself feels more controllable than accepting mystery.
Job lost all ten children in a single day through enemy attack, not divine punishment—God later declared Job righteous. God RESTORED Job's family, giving him ten more children and doubling all his possessions in one supernatural turnaround.
I REFUSE the lie that miscarriage happened because I wasn't spiritual enough. IT IS WRITTEN that tragedy isn't punishment for sin—Jesus destroyed that lie in John 9. The thief comes to kill; Jesus comes to give LIFE. IT IS WRITTEN that I am righteous by GIFT, not performance, and my Father doesn't kill to teach. Like Job, what the enemy stole will be RESTORED double. I declare Joel 2:25 over my future—God restores the years the locust has eaten. My future children are blessed, protected, and promised under the BARAK covenant.
Your Father is not angry at you—He's GRIEVING WITH you over what the enemy stole. Like Job, He's preparing a RESTORATION that will make the enemy regret the attack, giving you a future family that overflows beyond the loss.
