"IVF and medical intervention show lack of faith - real believers just trust God."
How it sounds in your head: Some people at church said using doctors means you don't really trust God to provide naturally. If my parents try medical help, does that mean they're not believing hard enough? Maybe using science is taking matters into our own hands.
"Jesus answered and said to them, 'Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.'"
-- Luke 5:31Religion creating false dichotomy between faith and wisdom, making medical help seem like spiritual compromise.
He's heard testimonies emphasizing 'we didn't use doctors, JUST God' as superior faith, making medical intervention sound like Plan B for weak believers. Youth group discussions might pit 'natural' against 'worldly.'
Hezekiah was dying and God promised healing through Isaiah. The cure? A lump of FIGS applied as medicine - God used natural remedy combined with prophetic word for INSTANT healing.
I REFUSE the lie that medical intervention contradicts faith! IT IS WRITTEN in Luke 5:31 that Jesus acknowledged physicians have legitimate role - He never condemned seeking medical help. God gave humans medical knowledge (James 1:5) and can bless conception through IVF just as powerfully as natural conception. The BARAK blessing isn't limited to one method - it flows through EVERY avenue God opens! IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 4:19 that God supplies all needs according to His riches - and sometimes that supply includes doctors, technology, and medical breakthrough. Hezekiah got healed through FIGS (2 Kings 20:7) - God's miracle used natural means and it was STILL miraculous! Faith embraces wisdom, not rejects it!
The Father isn't judging the method - He's celebrating the CHILD, whether conceived in a bedroom or a medical facility. He's running toward your family with LIFE, robe and ring ready, completely unbothered by whether doctors participate in His miracle.
