"My friends moved on with their lives. I'm not part of anyone's inner circle anymore."
How it sounds in your head: I see the photos of gatherings I wasn't invited to. Texts go unanswered for days. Everyone's busy with their own lives now, and I'm just not a priority. I have surface friendships but nobody truly knows me anymore.
"No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you."
-- John 15:15Enemy weaponizing natural life transitions and relational shifts to create isolation and insignificance.
Friendships DO shift when kids grow, careers change, or people move—the daily proximity that sustained relationships evaporates, and maintaining connection requires more intentional effort than she has energy for.
Job's friends abandoned him in suffering, blamed him for his pain, and left him isolated. When God restored him, He gave him DOUBLE everything he lost—including new friendships and community that celebrated rather than condemned him. The isolation wasn't permanent; it was preparation for a higher level of connection.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm outside everyone's inner circle or forgotten by friends. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus calls me FRIEND and shares the Father's heart with me—I'm in the most intimate circle that exists. Job's friends abandoned him, but God brought him into DOUBLE the community and connection he had before. Shifting friendships aren't evidence I'm forgettable—they're evidence God is rearranging relationships for the next season. IT IS WRITTEN that God sets the solitary in families. I am under the BARAK blessing—divine connections are coming that will carry the weight of this season and celebrate who I'm becoming, not who I used to be.
The Father isn't watching you drift into isolation—He's repositioning you relationally, removing connections that can't carry where you're going and bringing people who will SEE you, KNOW you, and CELEBRATE you. He's running toward you with friendships that feel like home.
