"My friends go on amazing vacations and we never go anywhere special."
How it sounds in your head: I see their Instagram stories from beach resorts and Disney and Europe and we just stay home or visit grandma. When they ask what I did over break I feel embarrassed. God must not care about making memories for our family.
"For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly."
-- Psalm 84:11World's system teaching her that experiences equal love and social media creating false measurement of blessing.
Social media gives her a constant highlight reel of everyone else's best moments. She has photographic proof that other families take trips her family doesn't, making her feel forgotten and less-than.
After 400 years of slavery where they owned literally nothing and went nowhere, God had the Egyptians GIVE them gold, silver, and clothing in one single night. They left with so much wealth from people who had oppressed them that it funded the tabernacle—from nothing to abundance instantly.
I REFUSE the lie that Instagram stories define my blessing or that God withholds good things from me. IT IS WRITTEN that no good thing will He withhold from me, and I am made upright by Jesus not by my family's vacation budget. I am a daughter of Abraham and the BARAK blessing is on my family—the same blessing that protected and prospered even when they messed up. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28:6 that I am blessed when I come in and when I go out—whether I'm going to the beach or going to grandma's, the blessing follows me. The favor on my life isn't measured by where I travel but by whose I am.
The Father isn't keeping a scoreboard of who goes where—He's preparing goodness for you that has nothing to do with anyone else's trip. He withholds NO good thing, and if He's not giving you that vacation right now, it's because He has something BETTER in His timing, not because He loves you less.
