"God must love them more because He blesses their finances but not mine."
How it sounds in your head: They pray and get the promotion. They tithe and get the bonus. They trust God and inherit the lake house. You pray, tithe, trust - and get another unexpected bill. The math isn't mathing. Maybe His face just shines on some people more than others.
"For there is no partiality with God."
-- Romans 2:11Religion's toxic lie that financial blessing equals God's favor and financial struggle equals God's distance or disapproval.
You see observable outcomes that seem to prove preferential treatment. Your theology says God is fair, but your bank account and their vacation home seem to tell different stories.
Criminal dying in agony, mocked Jesus most of the crucifixion, owned literally nothing, couldn't tithe or serve or prove anything. One moment of turning toward Jesus - instant paradise, complete acceptance, full salvation with zero time to produce fruit or financial blessing as evidence.
I REFUSE the lie that God loves others more because their finances look better. IT IS WRITTEN that there is no partiality with God - His love isn't measured by bank balances or financial outcomes. I am loved with the SAME love the Father has for Jesus Himself, and that love doesn't fluctuate with market conditions or paycheck amounts. The BARAK blessing is mine because of COVENANT, not because of current financial evidence. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed and highly favored, and that favor was settled at the cross, not negotiated at the bank. My Father isn't comparing my balance to theirs - He's declaring me righteous, blessed, and fully loved because I'm hidden in Christ.
While you're wondering if He loves them more, He's running toward you with the robe, ring, and sandals - full sonship with zero regard for your current financial statement. He's not impressed with their blessings or disappointed with your struggles. He's wildly, recklessly, EQUALLY in love with you both, and He's about to show you that His love produces breakthrough that has nothing to do with who appeared more blessed yesterday.
