"My family has always been poor, so I'll probably struggle financially my whole life too."

How it sounds in your head: Nobody in your family has ever 'made it.' Your grandparents were poor. Your parents work hard but never get ahead. Scholarships are for 'other people's kids.' You've heard 'we can't afford that' so many times it's like a family motto. Wealth feels like something that happens to OTHER families, not yours.

Galatians 3:29

"And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

-- Galatians 3:29
Enemy whispers: Your family has always been poor, so you will be too. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Galatians 3:29 - 'If you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's SEED, and HEIRS according to the promise.' You are not your broke family's descendant—you are ABRAHAM'S seed. The BARAK blessing that made him obscenely wealthy is YOURS by covenant. Deuteronomy 28:11 says 'The Lord will grant you ABUNDANT PROSPERITY.' Not based on your family's history—based on HIS promise.
Quick Truth: LIE: Family poverty means I'll struggle financially. TRUTH: You're Abraham's SEED—BARAK blessing is yours by covenant, not family history. Gal 3:29

Source: enemy + poverty mindset religion that baptizes lack and calls the BARAK blessing 'prosperity gospel' to keep you from your covenant inheritance.

Why this feels true:

She's never seen financial breakthrough in her family tree. Every adult she knows lives paycheck to paycheck. College feels financially impossible. When everyone in your bloodline has struggled, wealth feels genetically unavailable.

1 Kings 17:8-16
The Widow of Zarephath

This widow was down to her LAST meal—one handful of flour, a little oil—preparing to eat it with her son and then die of starvation during a famine. One act of obedience to feed Elijah first, and INSTANTLY her jar of flour and jug of oil never ran empty for over two years straight—supernatural provision with no natural source.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my family's poverty is my financial ceiling. IT IS WRITTEN that I am Abraham's seed and HEIR according to the promise. The BARAK blessing is mine—the same blessing that made Abraham so wealthy that kings negotiated with him. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28 that I am blessed in the city and in the field, blessed coming in and going out, that the Lord commands blessing on my storehouses. I will lend to many and borrow from none. I am the HEAD and not the tail, ABOVE only and not beneath. Poverty is a curse Christ REDEEMED me from. My children will never hear 'we can't afford that'—they'll grow up watching provision that has no natural explanation.

But God actually:

Your Father isn't waiting for you to 'break the cycle' through hard work and discipline. He already BROKE it at the cross and handed you the BARAK blessing while you were still trying to figure out how to budget. Right now He's commanding blessing on your future storehouses, not because you've proven financially responsible, but because you're His HEIR.
