"My faith was never real because I haven't seen the miracles others have"
How it sounds in your head: Everyone else has testimonies of provision, healing, breakthrough. I've prayed just as long—maybe longer—with nothing. Their faith was real; mine was just wishful thinking dressed up as religion.
"Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword... of whom the world was not worthy... And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise."
-- Hebrews 11:35-39Source: Testimony culture created comparison metrics where visible results became the measurement of authentic faith, erasing Hebrews 11's 'others were tortured, not accepting deliverance.'
Ninety years of watching others celebrate miracles she never experienced makes her faith feel like the defective product. If faith produces results, her lack of results seems like proof of lack of faith.
John the Baptist, whom Jesus called the greatest born of women, 'performed no sign'—literally ZERO miracles. Yet people came to him saying 'all things John spoke were true,' and many believed because of him. No miracles, but God's greatest endorsement.
I REFUSE the lie that miracles validate faith. IT IS WRITTEN that Hebrews 11 heroes were tortured, killed, sawn in two, and God said 'the world was not worthy of them'—THAT'S the faith chapter. Others' testimonies don't make mine false. IT IS WRITTEN that John the Baptist performed ZERO miracles yet Jesus called him the greatest born of women. The BARAK blessing isn't proven by visible results but by covenant promise. My faith is real because HE is real, not because I have their story. The Father celebrates my endurance, not just others' miracles.
The Father sees you like John the Baptist—not as less-than because you performed no sign, but as 'the world is not worthy of you.' He's running toward you with the 'well done' that has nothing to do with comparison.
