"Faith is just positive thinking dressed in Christian language; I'm fooling myself."
How it sounds in your head: Be honest—you're just using religious words to manifest what you want. It's The Secret with a Jesus sticker. Real faith would look different. You're manipulating outcomes with spiritual-sounding psychology.
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
-- Hebrews 11:6Intellectualism and cynicism disguised as discernment undermines faith as psychological self-deception instead of response to God's revealed truth.
The secular world mocks faith as wishful thinking, and parts of the church turned it into prosperity formulas. The middle ground feels like you're caught between delusion and religion, unsure what's real.
Elijah prayed once—'Let it be known this day that You are God'—and FIRE FELL from heaven and consumed the water-soaked sacrifice. That wasn't positive thinking; that was a real God responding to faith in His promise.
I REFUSE the lie that faith is psychological manipulation. IT IS WRITTEN in Hebrews 11:6 that faith believes God EXISTS and REWARDS—I'm responding to a REAL BEING who acts, not generating outcomes with religious thoughts. Elijah prayed and FIRE FELL—that's not psychology; that's God performing His Word. IT IS WRITTEN in Mark 11:23 that whoever says to the mountain and does not DOUBT IN HIS HEART but BELIEVES that what he says will come to pass, he will HAVE whatever he says. This isn't The Secret; this is KINGDOM AUTHORITY granted by covenant. I am Abraham's seed—the BARAK that protected and prospered him protects and prospers me.
The Father isn't a cosmic vending machine activated by religious coins. He's a FATHER who already prepared every good thing in Christ before you asked—faith is just saying YES to what He already made YOURS.
