"My faith isn't strong enough for God to answer—that's why others get breakthroughs."
How it sounds in your head: If you just had MORE faith, BETTER faith, STRONGER faith, you'd see results. Those people with testimonies must have some secret level of belief you haven't reached. You pray, but there's always that doubt in the back of your mind. Maybe that's what's blocking everything. Maybe you're just not a 'faith person.'
"But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness."
-- Romans 4:5Source: Religion teaching faith as a WORK you perform to earn results, turning faith into another performance metric you're failing.
You DO have doubts. You pray with one hand and plan backup options with the other. You see people who seem so certain, so confident—and you feel like a faith-imposter by comparison. Jesus said mustard seed faith moves mountains, but you're not moving anything.
Gentile woman came to Jesus for her demon-possessed daughter. Jesus initially seemed to refuse. She persisted with just one statement of faith. Jesus said 'For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter.' She went home and found her daughter healed THAT MOMENT—not gradually, INSTANTLY, based on simple persistent faith.
I REFUSE the lie that my faith has to be perfect or strong enough. IT IS WRITTEN that to him who does NOT WORK but believes, faith is counted as righteousness. My faith doesn't have to move mountains—it just has to be in the MOUNTAIN MOVER. Jesus honored doubt-mixed faith, mustard-seed faith, Gentile faith, even 'help my unbelief' faith with INSTANT breakthrough. IT IS WRITTEN that I have been given the SAME precious faith as the apostles. The BARAK blessing doesn't require faith performance—it's covenant that works EVEN WHEN THEY SINNED. I declare my simple trust in Jesus is ENOUGH. My Father moves on HIS FAITHFULNESS, not the strength of my faith.
Your Father isn't measuring your faith on a spiritual dynamometer waiting for the needle to hit 'sufficient' before He'll move. He responds to simple trust, honest doubt, even desperate 'I don't know if this will work but I'm trying anyway' faith. Like the father who gave the prodigal EVERYTHING before the son even finished his speech, your Father moves on HIS nature, not your faith performance.
