"My faith failed because I couldn't believe for complete healing"
How it sounds in your head: I should have had faith for total healing, but I was too scared to really believe. My fear and realism killed the miracle. If I had just believed harder, I wouldn't be dying.
"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth."
-- Hebrews 11:13Source: Prosperity teaching made faith into a formula where doubt equals death, ignoring that Hebrews 11 heroes died in faith without receiving promises.
She's watched faith healers blame sick people for lack of belief, and now at life's end, she wonders if her death proves they were right. Her inability to 'claim it' feels like the reason.
Lazarus got sick and died—not healed, but dead 4 days and decomposing. Martha and Mary both said 'if You had been here, he wouldn't have died,' yet Jesus raised him anyway. Death wasn't the end of the miracle; it was the setup.
I REFUSE the lie that death proves faith failure. IT IS WRITTEN that Hebrews 11 heroes died IN FAITH without receiving promises, and God celebrated their faith. My physical death doesn't negate my faith—Abraham died waiting and God called him faithful. IT IS WRITTEN that Lazarus died completely and Jesus raised him after 4 days of decomposition. Whether healing comes this side or resurrection side, the Father's promise stands. The BARAK blessing carries me through death into fullness. This body's failure isn't my faith's failure.
The Father sees you like Lazarus—not as a faith failure for dying, but as the setup for resurrection glory. He's running toward you not with condemnation for dying, but with the words 'Come forth!'
