"My drug use damaged me so badly that even God can't fully restore me now."
How it sounds in your head: I look at my hands shaking from the neuropathy. I forget words mid-sentence. The doctor says the cognitive damage is permanent. I came to Jesus at 67, but decades of meth and pills took their toll. Maybe God forgave me, but my body is a testimony to how far I fell.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Source: medical diagnosis elevated above God's power, believing the curse of Deuteronomy 28 still applies despite Christ redeeming us from it.
The physical evidence is right there—tremors, memory loss, scans showing brain changes. Science has documented proof that certain damage is irreversible, and faith feels foolish against medical facts.
Mephibosheth was dropped as a child and crippled in both feet—permanent physical damage that left him lame his entire life. Yet King David restored him to eat at the king's table continually, treating him as a son, giving him all of Saul's land and wealth despite his disability—full restoration of position, provision, and honor.
I REFUSE the lie that my past put me beyond God's full restoration. IT IS WRITTEN: The Lord RESTORES the years the locust has eaten—no damage is too great for Him. What I destroyed in decades, He recreates in a moment because He is the God of RESURRECTION. IT IS WRITTEN: By His stripes I AM healed—not 'partially helped,' but HEALED. The BARAK blessing of Abraham flows through my veins because I am Christ's—health, wholeness, restoration is my COVENANT RIGHT. I am not defined by medical reports; I am defined by the FINISHED WORK. I receive my NEW heart, my RENEWED mind, my RESTORED body NOW.
The Father isn't looking at your MRI scans shaking His head sadly—He's speaking LIFE over those dead neurons, breathing resurrection power into damaged tissue. He's already running toward you with healing in His wings, not in 'process' but in PERSON—Christ IN you, the hope of glory and restoration.
