"My conception was sinful—I carry shame in my very DNA."
How it sounds in your head: I was conceived out of wedlock. Or from violence. Or adultery. The circumstances of my beginning were wrong, and I've carried that stain my entire life. How can God fully bless what started in sin?
"The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself."
-- Ezekiel 18:20Generational shame and religious condemnation attached to circumstances of conception, not the child herself.
She discovered or was told about illegitimate/violent/adulterous conception, and religious teaching suggested she inherited guilt. Eighty years of hidden shame about origins feels like permanent stain.
Conceived through Judah sleeping with his daughter-in-law Tamar (who posed as prostitute)—incestuous, deceptive, scandalous conception. Yet Perez appears in MESSIANIC GENEALOGY—Matthew 1:3 includes him in Jesus' direct line. Shameful conception, spotless blessing and eternal honor.
I REFUSE the lie that I carry shame from my conception. IT IS WRITTEN that the son shall not bear the guilt of the father—I do NOT inherit my parents' sin. Conception circumstances are irrelevant to my identity in Christ. IT IS WRITTEN that if anyone is in Christ, they are NEW creation—old things passed away, ALL things become new. Like Perez, even if my beginning was scandalous, I carry Messianic purpose and blessing. The BARAK blessing is not conditional on conception purity. I am HOLY, RIGHTEOUS, SPOTLESS in Christ. I declare eighty-plus years of divine legitimacy.
The Father is running toward you holding the robe of righteousness, saying, 'You never carried that shame—I covered you with MY purity the moment you became Mine. Your conception does not define you; MY CHOICE of you does. You are SPOTLESS.'
