"My chronic pain is just part of aging; I need to manage it, not expect healing."
How it sounds in your head: I've had this arthritis for decades. My back, my knees, my hands—everything hurts. Doctors say it's degenerative, and at my age, pain management is realistic while expecting healing is denial.
"Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed."
-- 1 Peter 2:24Medical system normalizing chronic pain as inevitable aging process, denying Christ's finished work on the cross.
Pain is daily, measurable, and progressively worsening over years. Medical professionals offer management but no cure, making acceptance feel like wisdom rather than unbelief.
For 18 years she couldn't straighten up—chronic, degenerative, hopeless by medical standards. Jesus called her forward, spoke one word, and IMMEDIATELY she was made straight. Decades of pain gone in seconds, not gradually through management.
I REFUSE the lie that chronic pain is my portion. IT IS WRITTEN that by Jesus' stripes I WAS healed—past tense, finished work. I am NOT under the curse of sickness; Christ redeemed me from every curse. The woman bent for 18 years was IMMEDIATELY straightened. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 53:5 that by His wounds I am healed. I am under the BARAK blessing of health, not the curse of pain. I receive INSTANT healing NOW.
The Father isn't asking you to endure pain as character-building—He already put it on Jesus. Like the prodigal's father who ran while the son was still far off, God is running toward your pain with healing before you've proven anything.
