"My children's rejection of faith is because I didn't model it well enough."
How it sounds in your head: Your adult children are agnostic, atheist, or just indifferent to faith. You took them to church, but did you LIVE it? Were you a hypocrite—preaching Jesus but showing judgment? Were you inconsistent? Did they see enough REAL faith in your daily life? Their rejection feels like a report card on your spiritual authenticity.
"No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day."
-- John 6:44Religion: The religious spirit says children's faith is earned through parents' perfect modeling, making their rejection proof of your spiritual failure.
Your children left the faith or never embraced it as adults. You can remember times you were inconsistent—when your life didn't match your words, when you were judgmental, when faith felt performative. Their rejection feels like they saw through YOU and rejected what you represented.
Raised in perfect Jewish faith, became a murderer of Christians, 'breathing threats' against believers. One encounter with Jesus on the Damascus road and he was INSTANTLY transformed into history's greatest apostle—no gradual process, no parental influence required.
I REFUSE the lie that my children's faith depends on my modeling quality. IT IS WRITTEN that NO ONE comes to Jesus unless the Father DRAWS them—salvation is God's drawing, not my demonstrating. Paul was transformed in ONE ENCOUNTER despite no Christian parenting. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 10:17 that faith comes by hearing the WORD OF GOD—not by observing perfect parents. My inconsistencies don't limit God's ability to reveal Himself powerfully to my children. The BARAK blessing covers them by covenant, and God pursues them based on HIS love, not my spiritual authenticity. He is FAITHFUL even when I was faithless (2 Timothy 2:13).
The Father sees you carrying guilt for every spiritual inconsistency, and He's saying: 'I don't need you to have been a perfect model—I AM the perfect revelation, and I'm pursuing your children with power your imperfections cannot block.' He's already drawing them in ways you cannot see.
