"I'm too busy providing to be the present dad they really need."
How it sounds in your head: You're working to give them a good life, but you're missing their life in the process. Every late night, every missed game, every distracted conversation—you're providing everything except what they need most: YOU.
"It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for so He gives His beloved sleep."
-- Psalm 127:2World system that equates provision with love, creating false choice between presence and provision.
You see their faces when you walk in late again, and the guilt is suffocating. You know they'd trade the nice house for more time with you, but the bills demand your hours.
Peter needed tax money and had none. Jesus didn't send him to work overtime—He sent him to catch ONE FISH that had the exact coin needed in its mouth. Instant provision without sacrificing time. God can provide without the grind.
I REFUSE the lie that I must choose between providing for my family and being present with them. IT IS WRITTEN that it is VAIN to rise early and stay late eating the bread of sorrows, for God gives to His beloved even in their SLEEP. I am not the source of provision—I am the BRANCH, and as I abide in the VINE, provision flows. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28:8 'The LORD will command the blessing on your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand'—He COMMANDS blessing, I don't earn it. The BARAK covenant over my life means supernatural provision that doesn't require sacrificing presence. God multiplied oil for a widow in one afternoon and provided tax money in one fish. He can do the same for me. My children are blessed by my PRESENCE flowing from His presence, not my absence in pursuit of provision.
The Father sees you exhausted from trying to be enough through work, and He's running toward you saying 'I'm the one who provides for them—you just love them. I'll handle the provision while you handle the presence.' He's about to show you provision can come without the grind you thought was required.
