"My kids would be better off with a different mom who has it more together."
How it sounds in your head: You watch other moms who seem naturally gifted at this—organized, emotionally regulated, spiritually consistent. You're chaos, and your kids are paying the price. They deserved better than you, and deep down, you think they know it.
"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty."

She sees her disorganization, her emotional reactivity, her spiritual inconsistency, and assumes her kids are suffering by proximity. Other families seem smoother, healthier, more functional.
She was a slave with no rights, no resources, no power. She put her baby in a basket and sent him down the Nile in desperation. God turned her weakness into the origin story of the deliverer of Israel—her inadequacy became the setup for His glory.
I REFUSE the lie that my children would be better off with someone else. IT IS WRITTEN that God chose the weak things of the world to put to shame the mighty—He gave them to me not in spite of my weakness but BECAUSE of it, so His strength would be displayed. They don't need a perfect mom; they need a connected mom, and I am connected to the Vine. IT IS WRITTEN that I am the righteousness of God in Christ, not based on my organization or emotional regulation but on His finished work. The BARAK blessing is on my household by covenant—they are blessed because of His faithfulness, not my flawlessness. I am exactly the mom they need because HE is exactly the Father I need.
The Father didn't put your kids in the wrong home—He chose you on purpose, the way He chose a slave mother to raise the deliverer of a nation. He's not wringing His hands over your chaos; He's writing glory through it, the way He always uses the weak to shame the wise.
