"My body is too old and worn out to have any energy left."
How it sounds in your head: I look at this tired face in the mirror and feel the weight of every year. My friends are dying or sick. I can barely get through the day without a nap. This is just what happens when you get old—you fade away until there's nothing left.
"But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
-- Isaiah 40:31Enemy using age as disqualification, stealing identity as one who 'renews strength' in the Lord regardless of calendar age.
Every morning her joints ache and her energy tanks by noon. The doctor's appointments multiply while her stamina evaporates, making age feel like an irreversible death sentence on vitality.
At 85 years old, Caleb declared 'I am as strong this day as on the day Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war.' He immediately received the mountain he'd been promised 45 years earlier and drove out giants.
I REFUSE the lie that my age has cut off my access to divine energy. IT IS WRITTEN that those who wait on the Lord SHALL RENEW their strength—not 'might' or 'could,' but SHALL. My vitality is not produced by my body but supplied by the inexhaustible God. Like Caleb at 85 declaring strength for war, I am a carrier of resurrection life regardless of my birth certificate. IT IS WRITTEN that the blessing of Abraham is mine through Christ—the blessing that kept Abraham and Sarah reproducing in their nineties. I am a branch abiding in the Vine, and His life flows through me NOW, renewing, restoring, energizing everything the enemy tried to drain.
The Father isn't waiting for you to somehow generate youthful energy before He moves—He's already supplying resurrection power to your mortal body right now (Romans 8:11). While you were still tired, still aching, still depleted, He ran toward you with the robe of His own strength, because you're His daughter and His nature is to renew what the world says is finished.
