"My body is just wearing out naturally—I can't expect God to reverse aging."
How it sounds in your head: I'm 90 years old. Bodies break down; that's just biology. It seems presumptuous to ask God to reverse the natural aging process. Death is part of the cycle; maybe I should just accept my body's decline gracefully instead of demanding miracles.
"Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished."
-- Deuteronomy 34:7Naturalism that elevates biological processes above God's creative power, limiting Him to 'natural laws.'
Every mirror, every medical textbook, every cultural narrative says bodies deteriorate with age and there's nothing to be done. Asking God to reverse aging feels like asking Him to defy nature itself, which feels presumptuous or even heretical.
At 85 years old, Caleb declared, 'I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war.' God sustained supernatural strength decades past normal decline, and Caleb drove out giants and took his mountain.
I REFUSE the lie that aging is beyond God's power to reverse. IT IS WRITTEN that Moses at 120 had undimmed eyes and undiminished vigor. God RENEWS my youth like the eagle's—not just my memory of youth, but present-tense RENEWAL. Caleb at 85 was as strong as at 40 because God sustained him. IT IS WRITTEN that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead GIVES LIFE to my mortal body. Age is not a boundary to resurrection power. I am blessed with the blessing of Abraham, which includes fullness of days and STRENGTH. I declare: my God is renewing, restoring, and reviving this body because NOTHING is too hard for Him.
The Father who kept Moses' eyes sharp and vigor strong at 120, who made 85-year-old Caleb say 'Give me this mountain,' is not intimidated by your 90 years. He doesn't see you as 'wearing out'—He sees you as a candidate for the same resurrection power that raised Jesus, and that power is GIVING LIFE to your mortal body right now.
