"My body is failing and soon I won't even recognize my own family."

How it sounds in your head: You see it starting—the confusion, the names you can't remember, the moments you're not sure where you are. You're terrified of the day you look at your daughter and don't know her face. You'll be physically present but mentally gone, a shell of who you were, locked in isolation inside your own failing mind.

Isaiah 46:4

"Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you."

-- Isaiah 46:4
Enemy whispers: 'Your mind will fail and you'll be lost.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Isaiah 46:4 - 'Even to GRAY HAIRS I will CARRY you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will DELIVER you.' The Father doesn't drop you when your memory does—He CARRIES you. Your identity isn't in your mental sharpness but in HIS grip. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Neither death nor life...nor things present nor things to come...shall separate us from the love of God' (Romans 8:38-39)—even dementia can't separate you from His love. He knows you even when you don't know yourself.
Quick Truth: LIE: Mind failing = lost. TRUTH: 'Even to gray hairs I will carry you' (Isa 46:4)—He holds you.

Enemy weaponizing medical prognosis into predetermined fate—making fear of future rob peace of present.

Why this feels true:

He forgot his grandson's name last week. The doctor used words like 'cognitive decline' and 'inevitable progression.' He sees it in his friends—the blank stares, the confusion, the slow disappearance.

2 Samuel 9:1-13
Mephibosheth

Crippled, forgotten, living in a wasteland called 'Lo Debar' (place of no pasture)—David SEARCHED for him, brought him to the king's table, restored everything, and he ate at the king's table FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE despite his inability. Permanent position despite permanent disability.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that cognitive decline disqualifies me from God's presence or love. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Even to gray hairs I will CARRY you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will DELIVER you.' My Father doesn't require me to remember Him perfectly—He remembers ME perfectly. The BARAK blessing doesn't depend on mental sharpness—it protected Isaac when his EYES failed, Jacob when his BODY failed. IT IS WRITTEN: Nothing in 'things present nor things to come' can separate me from His love—not confusion, not memory loss, not even my own mind. Like Mephibosheth who ate at the king's table despite crippling—I have permanent position despite any disability.

But God actually:

The Father isn't waiting for you to forget Him so He can leave—He's holding you tighter, like a father carrying a sleeping child who doesn't even know he's being carried. Every moment of confusion, He's there. Every lost memory, He holds it for you. You could forget your own name and He'd still call you 'BELOVED' and it would still be TRUE.
