Unlovable
"My body is changing in weird ways. I'm becoming something unlovable."

How it sounds in your head: You're getting taller or fatter or hairier or breaking out. Your voice cracks. You feel clumsy and disproportionate. You look in the mirror and don't recognize yourself. This new version feels like something people will reject.

Psalm 139:13-14

"For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."

-- Psalm 139:13-14
Enemy whispers: 'Your changing body makes you unlovable.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Psalm 139:13-14 - God FORMED you, covered you in the womb, and you are FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY made. Not 'you WERE wonderful before puberty ruined you.' You ARE wonderful—present tense, changing body included. First Samuel 16:7 says man looks at outward appearance, but God looks at the HEART. He designed puberty. He's not shocked or disgusted by it.
Quick Truth: LIE: My changing body is unlovable. TRUTH: I am fearfully, wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14

Enemy weaponizing normal puberty to create shame about God's design, making child feel monstrous during natural transition.

Why this feels true:

Your body IS changing, and it DOES feel awkward and out of control. You're comparing your transition phase to finished products around you. The discomfort is REAL.

1 Samuel 16:7-13
David

David was the youngest, smallest, least impressive-looking son—so overlooked that when the prophet came to anoint a king, his own father didn't even call him in from the fields. God said 'this one'—the runt. God chose the one everyone else dismissed based on appearance.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my changing body makes me unlovable. IT IS WRITTEN that I am FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY made. IT IS WRITTEN that man looks at the outside, but God looks at the heart. I am Abraham's seed—the BARAK blessing doesn't depend on my appearance. God chose David the runt, Leah the 'weak-eyed,' Zacchaeus the short guy. My Father designed puberty—He's not disgusted by His own design. I am His WORKMANSHIP, His masterpiece in progress. He's not waiting for me to finish changing. He's celebrating every stage.

But God actually:

The Father watches you struggle with your changing reflection and doesn't see something becoming unlovable—He sees His son growing into the man He designed you to be. He's EXCITED about who you're becoming, awkward stage and all.
