"I'm about to die and nobody will miss me when I'm gone."
How it sounds in your head: They'll be relieved when I die. I'm a burden, an expense, a duty. They'll go through my things, sell the house, move on. I'll be forgotten within a year. My life didn't matter enough to be missed.
"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints."
-- Psalm 116:15Enemy uses death's approach to magnify isolation and minimize your eternal impact.
You see the exhaustion in your family's faces, hear the sighs. Death is close and you're watching everyone prepare for life WITHOUT you. The enemy whispers that your absence will be a relief, not a loss.
Lazarus died and was buried four days—decomposing, finished, forgotten by the world. Jesus WEPT over him, called him by NAME, and brought him out ALIVE. Death didn't have final say; love did.
I REFUSE the lie that I'll be forgotten when I die. IT IS WRITTEN that my death is PRECIOUS in God's sight—He is not indifferent to my passing but treasures it. The Father knows my name, counts my days, and is preparing a welcome HOME that will shatter every moment of earthly loneliness. IT IS WRITTEN in John 14:2-3 that Jesus has prepared a PLACE for me and will receive me to Himself. I am SEEN, KNOWN, CELEBRATED.
The Father isn't watching you die; He's watching you come HOME. Every labored breath is counted, every fear met with 'Well done, beloved.' You're not fading into nothing—you're stepping into EVERYTHING, into arms that have been waiting since before you were born.
