"My body is breaking down and there's nothing I can do about it at this age."
How it sounds in your head: You're in your forties now. This is when everything starts falling apart—the knees, the back, the shoulders. You can't recover like you used to. Better get used to being the guy who groans when he stands up.
"But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you."
-- Romans 8:11World's curse of aging, denying that the same power that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you to give life to your mortal body.
You feel it every day—the stiffness, the recovery time, the limitations that weren't there at 25. Society has programmed you to expect decline after 40, and your body seems to be confirming it.
Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished. After 120 years, he climbed a mountain without a wheelchair, without arthritis, without the 'normal' decline religion expects.
I REFUSE the lie that my body must break down. IT IS WRITTEN that the Spirit who raised Jesus gives life to my mortal body. I am not subject to the curse of aging and decline—Christ redeemed me from the curse. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28 that I am blessed coming in and going out, and that blessing includes THIS BODY. I am a branch connected to the Vine, and His resurrection life flows through me. I declare strength, vitality, and supernatural health over this body. The BARAK protected Abraham even when he sinned, and it covers me in the BETTER covenant.
Your Father isn't condemning you for aging or weakness. He sees you as His champion and is pouring resurrection life into you right now—not after you exercise more or eat better, but because you're His beloved son, wrapped in the robe of righteousness.
