"My body has just given up on me. I'll never feel strong or alive again."
How it sounds in your head: You're 17 and feel 70. Your body won't cooperate. You see other guys lifting, playing sports, staying up all night and bouncing back. You can't. Something's fundamentally broken in you that everyone else has figured out.
"Let the weak say, 'I am strong.'"
-- Joel 3:10Enemy accusation: 'You're damaged goods. Your body is a lemon. You got the defective model.'
You literally can't remember the last time you felt physically good. Every attempt to push through just proves the lie more. Your body feels like a prison that's betraying you daily.
Mephibosheth was crippled in both feet, hiding in a forgotten place, believing he was worthless. David brought him to the palace and he ate at the king's table LIKE A KING'S SON for the rest of his life—not because his feet were healed, but because of COVENANT.
I REFUSE the lie that my body has quit on me. IT IS WRITTEN: let the weak say 'I am strong'—that's not denial, that's DECREE. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the DEAD lives in me. The BARAK blessing flows through my bloodline. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, blessed in the city and in the field. My body doesn't define me—my UNION with Christ does. Breakthrough isn't coming—it's HERE.
Your Father isn't disappointed in your weakness. He SPECIALIZES in it. 'My strength is made perfect in weakness' isn't a someday promise—it's a NOW reality. He's not waiting for you to be stronger. He's RUNNING toward you with the robe of His strength to put on you TODAY.
