"My birth caused so much hardship—I've been a burden from day one."
How it sounds in your head: You know the stories. Difficult pregnancy. Financial crisis during your birth. Post-partum depression that lasted years. Medical complications. You arrived during the worst possible time, and everything got harder when you showed up. You've spent your whole life trying to compensate for the chaos your arrival created, trying to be worth the trouble you caused just by being born.
"Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been upheld by Me from birth, who have been carried from the womb: Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you."
-- Isaiah 46:3-4Enemy assigning guilt for circumstances completely beyond her control, making her responsible for hardships that were never hers to carry.
She's been through childbirth herself, knows the physical trauma, the financial strain, the way a baby can arrive during crisis. She can list every hardship her arrival caused and has carried responsibility for things she had no control over since before memory began.
Dropped by his nurse at age five when she heard King Saul was dead—became crippled in both feet, completely dependent, living in exile in Lo Debar (literally 'place of no pasture'). When King David found him, Mephibosheth called himself a 'dead dog.' David restored ALL of Saul's land to him, gave him a permanent place at the king's table, and provided for him for life—burden became royalty.
I REFUSE the lie that I have been a burden from birth. IT IS WRITTEN that I have been UPHELD by God from birth, CARRIED from the womb. I didn't cause hardship—I was carried THROUGH it. The Father says 'I have made you, and I will bear you.' I am not what He BEARS—I am what He TREASURES. IT IS WRITTEN that I am heir to the BARAK, blessed in all I do, and that blessing was operational from my first breath regardless of circumstances. I declare I am CARRIED, not carrying; TREASURED, not troublesome; UPHELD by the Father who made me and calls me His own.
The Father wasn't cursing the hardship of your arrival—He was CARRYING you through circumstances you had no hand in creating. Every difficult moment surrounding your birth, He was whispering 'I've got her, she's Mine, I'm UPHOLDING her,' already planning the redemption you'd walk in.
