THE LIE Unwanted/Accident
"My birth broke my mother's body/spirit—I've been destructive from conception."

How it sounds in your head: She was never the same after having me. Her health declined, her joy disappeared, her body was ruined. I heard it: 'Before you were born, I was...' I destroyed what she was and took what she had. I've been a thief since the womb.

Enemy whispers: 'You destroyed your mother—you're a thief.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: John 10:10—'The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.' YOU are not the thief—the ENEMY is. Jesus came to give LIFE. You did not steal—you RECEIVED life. Medical consequences, depression, trauma were NOT your doing. Babies don't destroy; they receive. The enemy stole from your mother AND you by attaching blame to innocent child.
Quick Truth: LIE: I destroyed mother. TRUTH: Thief destroys—Jesus gives abundant LIFE; you brought life (John 10:10).
WHERE THIS LIE COMES FROM

False guilt and destructive identity assigned from maternal postpartum trauma or long-term health consequences.

Why this feels true:

Mother experienced postpartum depression, permanent physical changes, or chronic health issues post-birth, creating narrative that baby 'ruined' her. The elderly woman internalized responsibility for mother's suffering.

THE BIBLICAL PRECEDENT 1 Samuel 1:10-20
Samuel

Hannah was in 'bitterness of soul,' weeping, refusing to eat, suffering under barrenness before conceiving Samuel. His birth was answer to desperate prayer, not cause of her pain. Once he came, her mourning turned to rejoicing—1 Samuel 2 records her explosive joy and prophetic worship. Baby brought RESTORATION, not destruction.

THE GRACE REVEALED
But God actually:

The Father is running toward you, untangling decades of false guilt, saying, 'You NEVER destroyed anything—you were MY GIFT to her. The enemy stole from both of you, but you were only ever BLESSING. I'm restoring the truth NOW.'
